Assistant Producer (6 Month Contract)

Location: London

Reporting to: Head of Content - JamPot Productions

Role Overview

The Assistant Producer plays a key supporting role in the development and production of JamPot Productions’ diverse portfolio of podcasts. Working closely with the Senior Producer, Producers and wider editorial and production team, this individual will ensure the smooth running of all production processes across multiple shows. 

Key Responsibilities

Production Co-ordination

  • Support pre-production planning, including episode research, script drafting, and booking contributors.

  • Assist in organising and attending recordings (in studio and remote), managing logistics and technical requirements.

  • Ensure all show related paperwork is complete and well-organised to support the smooth running of shows.

  • Assist with the creation of cue cards, sourcing of props and preparation of sets for all shows.

Editorial Support

  • Contribute ideas to team brainstorms and development of new podcast formats.

  • Prepare guest briefs and research docs under the guidance of the Producer / Senior Producer.

  • Create copy for episode descriptions and titles.

Post-Production and Delivery:

  • Assist in quality checking final episodes and assets before publication.

  • Ensure all audio, transcripts, and show notes are delivered on time and meet platform specifications.

  • Quality check and upload content to the relevant platforms within the required timeframes.

Talent and Guest Liaison:

  • Ensure that guests are welcomed and have a great experience whilst recording with us.

  • Maintain accurate guest records and release forms.

  • Support the Producer/ Senior Producer on set before and during recordings. 

Administrative Support:

  • Help manage production calendars and recording schedules across multiple shows. 

  • Assist with budgeting, expenses tracking, and production documentation.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

• Work with marketing and social media teams as required to support the delivery of premium content that is consumed and enjoyed by our target audience.

Skills and Experience

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrable interest and prior experience in podcasting, radio, or audio production (professional or self-initiated projects).

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.

  • Confident written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, hosts, and guests.

  • Familiarity with podcast production tools and workflows (e.g., recording setups, remote recording platforms like Riverside) is desirable

  • Basic audio editing proficiency (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Reaper or similar software) is desirable. 

  • Knowledge of video editing softwares (e.g. Premier Pro, Final Cut etc.) is desirable.

  • Comfortable using collaboration and productivity platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.

  • Experience working in a creative or media environment is advantageous but not essential.
