Job Opportunities
Video Lead
Location: London (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Head of Content - JamPot Productions
Role Overview
JamPot is building something distinctive in the podcast and digital content space - and we need someone to lead the visual storytelling behind it. We’re looking for a Video Lead who brings not just deep production expertise, but a genuine creative point of view: someone who can set the visual bar, push it higher, and inspire a team to do the same.
This is a role for a leader who is as comfortable shaping the creative direction of a new show as they are overseeing a complex multi-project production schedule. You will own end-to-end video production across JamPot’s slate – from in-studio shoots to short-form social edits – and be responsible for the creative standards and workflows that underpin everything we make. You will also be a hands-on contributor, delivering long-form and short-form edits yourself as part of the team.
Key Accountabilities
Creative Direction & Visual Identity
Define and champion a distinctive visual language across JamPot’s slate of shows, ensuring each production has a coherent, high-quality identity
Actively raise the creative bar - proactively bringing ideas, references and creative ambition to new and existing shows
Lead creative direction on visual treatment, motion graphics, editing style and on-screen aesthetic across both long-form and short-form content
Collaborate with the wider content and marketing teams on campaign assets, launch materials and promotional content
Develop and maintain scalable visual systems: templates, graphics packages and show-specific design standards
Stay ahead of trends in video, social and podcast content, bringing relevant creative insight into the team
Work with brands to deliver creative, premium and effective video campaigns that sit across
multiple platforms.
Video Production Management
Oversee the full video production cycle across the JamPot slate, from inception through to final delivery
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and to the highest standard
Deliver long-form and short-form edits directly, with a strong understanding of the distinct craft requirements of each format
Supervise post-production workflows including editing, colour correction, sound, motion graphics and final export
Troubleshoot production and post-production challenges, implementing efficient solutions in a fast-paced environment
Oversee asset management, file organisation and final delivery processes
Build and maintain strong relationships with external freelancers, studios and suppliers
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, manage and grow a team of video editors, videographers and audio engineers
Provide clear creative direction and constructive feedback that helps the team develop and elevate their work
Assign projects, manage workloads and identify capacity pinch points in collaboration with the production manager
Drive team growth through hiring, onboarding, training and ongoing professional development
Foster a creative culture that values craft, collaboration and continuous improvement
Production Planning & Shoot Management:
Oversee shoot logistics including crew coordination, equipment planning and production timelines
Manage productions from pre-production through to wrap, ensuring safe, efficient and premium-quality execution
Maintain production equipment inventories and oversee studio workflow standards
Anticipate production challenges and put contingencies in place proactively
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience leading video productions from concept to delivery, ideally in a content production, podcast or broadcast environment
A portfolio demonstrating strong creative range across both long-form and short-form formats, with evidence of visual identity development
Experience managing and developing creative teams in a fast-paced production environment
Expert-level proficiency across the Adobe suite (particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects) and DaVinci Resolve
Strong knowledge of production equipment, lighting, audio and studio workflows
Hands-on experience delivering long-form edits (e.g. podcast episodes,documentary-style content) and short-form edits for social and digital platforms
Demonstrable experience working with on-screen talent and managing external suppliers and freelancers
Experience integrating AI tools into production workflows to improve efficiency without compromising quality
Experience working in video podcasts, digital media or broadcast is highly desirable
Genuine passion for podcasts, social content and the evolving media landscape
Personal Attributes
A strong, distinctive creative vision – with the confidence to push ideas and the judgment to know when to hold firm and when to flex
Committed to craft and quality, with a genuine attention to detail across every aspect of production
A collaborative leader who builds trust internally and externally, and brings people along rather than directing from a distance
Exceptionally organised, with strong ownership of projects and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly
Solutions-focused and composed under pressure, with a track record of delivering in fast-moving environments
A natural communicator and team builder, able to give feedback that motivates and develops
Enthusiastic about the medium – someone who cares about what audiences experience, not just what gets delivered
